SURREAL PHOTOGRAPHY BY PHILIPPE RAMETTE
These are real images envisioned and portrayed by French artist Philippe Ramette, and photographed by his collaborator Marc Domage. He created a series of gravity-defying photographs that show him in seemingly impossible poses. These illusions were not created digitally as Ramette explains to The Guardian in 2009, “You see a tension in my hands, my red face is far from serene as the blood rushes to it, my suit is ruffled.” The photos were captured by tilting the camera and setting up hidden supports, if needed. Tomasz Gudzowaty
Tomasz Gudzowty is one of my favorite artists. I saw his work first many years ago during Newsweek photography competition and I took part in organising the exhibition for the finalists.
